Everything that makes Foiled look and feel like itself — the wordmark and its holographic foil,
the gold-on-ink palette, the five themes, the typography, and the voice. One grimoire for the brand.

The essence
Foiled is a free, browser-based registry for Magic: The Gathering players — catalog your collection, forge decks, follow real prices, and trade with players and stores. The brand idea is an illuminated grimoire: arcane, gilded, and serene.

Tagline
A grimoire for your Magic: The Gathering collection.
One-liner
Catalog every card, forge and tune decks, track real prices, and trade with players and stores — all in one calm, golden place. Free, no install, English & Spanish.
The name
A play on foil cards and being “foiled.” Native to .gg.
Two marks. The wordmark — “foiled” set in Grenze Gotisch as a gilded sticker — and the spark, a four-point holographic gleam. The spark leads in small spaces; pair them as the lockup ✦ foiled.gg.

Clear space & minimum size
✦✦✦✦
Keep clear space of at least one spark’s height on every side.
Minimum size: spark 24px, wordmark 28px tall, lockup 20px. Never crowd the mark with text or card art.
Background pairing
Default placement is gilt or holo on ink (#0b0a07). On light surfaces use the
gold spark — never the holo spark, whose colors muddy on parchment. The holo wordmark belongs on near-black only.

Do & don't
✓Gilt wordmark on deep ink — the canonical look.
foiled.gg
✓Spark + wordmark locked together with even spacing.
✕Don't put the holo spark on light — colors go muddy.
✕Never stretch, squash, or re-proportion the mark.
✕Don't recolor the gilt to flat grey or off-brand hues.
✕No outer glows, drop shadows, or effects on the wordmark.
03
The palette
Deep ink grounds everything; gold is the single hero accent; parchment carries the text; brass handles quiet labels and edges. Click any swatch to copy its hex.
Contrast & usage. Gold is an accent, not a background — it lights up CTAs, active states, values, and the wordmark, never large fills. Body text is parchment #ece0c4 on ink for comfortable long-read contrast; brass and muted are for labels and metadata only.
04
The five themes
The chrome — ink, panels, edges — shifts across five moods, but gold, parchment and the gilt wordmark stay constant, so it always reads as Foiled. Click a theme to preview the whole kit in it.
Grimoire is the default and the one used for all marketing and brand surfaces. Arcane, Tome, Verdant and Ember are player choices inside the app.
05
The type
Two typefaces, no more. Grenze Gotisch — a warm blackletter — carries every title and the brand. Spline Sans does all the work: body, UI, labels, and numbers.

06
The voice
Foiled speaks like a calm keeper of a beautiful collection — warm, a little arcane, never hype. It borrows grimoire language (forge, grimoire, the table) without turning into cosplay.
✕Translating card names or formats — those stay English.
✕Pushy CTAs — we invite (“Open Foiled — it's free”).
Bilingual rule. Spanish is the base language and English is the alternate — every surface ships in both. Card names, set names and format names (Commander, Standard…) are always left in English in either language.

The assets
Everything lives in /brand. SVG is preferred everywhere it works; PNG fallbacks exist for email and platforms that strip SVG.
Iconography uses mana-font (the WUBRG pips ✦ and ability glyphs) and the four-point ✦ spark as the house ornament — it appears in the lockup, as section dividers, and as bullets. Card art throughout the product is courtesy of Scryfall.
